Cryptid Studio – Tattoo and piercing studio in Montreal
To ensure a safe, respectful, high-quality experience for all our clients, please read the following policies before your appointment. For more information, also see our FAQ and our Tattoo, Piercing and Ear Styling pages.
ID
A valid photo ID is required for any tattoo or piercing procedure.
If you can’t provide photo ID, you may be asked for two pieces of ID without a photo.
Punctuality policy
We understand that unexpected things happen. However, to respect the schedule and quality of service for all our clients, arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in your appointment being rescheduled or shortened, depending on availability that day.
If you expect to be late, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate you based on availability.
Cancellations and missed appointments
We understand that unexpected things happen and always encourage communication.
Piercing appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled at no charge. In the case of repeated no-shows without notice, special conditions may apply to future bookings.
For tattoos, a deposit is required to reserve the artist’s time. In the case of a late cancellation or missed appointment, this deposit is non-refundable.
Last-minute cancellations affect our team’s schedule. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible.
Supervision of children
To keep the environment safe for everyone, children under 11 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by someone other than the client receiving the service.
We work in sterile areas and use needles, which can pose a risk. Thank you for your understanding.
Numbing cream
No piercing is performed on an area that has been numbed, as this can affect jewelry placement and healing and increase the risk of complications.
For tattoos, numbing cream may be used under certain conditions.
Please let your artist know in advance so you receive the proper instructions for safe use.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
For safety reasons, we do not perform any tattoos or piercings on anyone who is pregnant, has given birth in the last six months or is breastfeeding.
Companions
One support person is allowed during your visit.
For safety reasons, they may be asked to leave the room during the procedure.
Hygiene, safety and refusal of service
The health and safety of our clients and our team are at the heart of our priorities.
Cryptid Studio reserves the right to refuse or stop a service when the conditions required for a safe, respectful and consensual procedure are not met.
Respect and behaviour
Cryptid Studio is a calm, respectful and inclusive space.
Any inappropriate, aggressive, discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour will result in immediate refusal of service.
